We currently ship to UK Mainland

UK Delivery (Flat Rate) - £9.95

We print boards to order & all orders are subject to a turnaround time. We aim to deliver within 4-5 working days (excluding weekends & bank holidays). If you need your boards quicker, please contact us & we’ll always try our best to make that happen. Parcels are shipped with UK couriers on a Next Day service. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive it the following working day. You’ll also receive an email to let you know when your order has been processed & when to expect delivery.

Unfortunately, we don’t currently ship outside of the UK.

It’ll take up to 24 hours to process your order. Orders placed after 12 noon will be processed the following working day. Average delivery to UK mainland takes 4-5 working days from placing your order (excluding weekends & bank holidays). Once your boards are packaged, they’ll be shipped to the address supplied at checkout. Parcels are tracked& will require a signature upon delivery. We don’t mass produce our backdrops & we don’t leave boards sitting around in storage. We print to order, so you get freshly printed products every single time & we save on wastage. We work closely with our amazing print team & fellow small business friends, who are also based in the UK.

Not going to be home?
If nobody is home when the courier attempts delivery, a card will be left & you can rearrange delivery at a convenient time. If you do miss your delivery, it’s not a problem, the courier will usually attempt delivery the following working day. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about missed delivery :)

My parcel is late
Please allow up to 7 working days. Sometimes things happen that are outside of our control. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been delayed & you’d like more information, email us & we’ll be happy to help. We track all our parcels from door to door so we should be able to locate it quickly & update you.

As a printed product, a certain amount of care is required to care for your boards. Printed in high definition onto smooth, durable PVC material, they’re lightweight & portable. Effectively imitating your favourite surfaces, these mini replicas are a photographer’s secret weapon. Pick them up, move them around, interchange your surfaces to create new mini staged environments in a flash. Our boards are 3mm thick, strong & sturdy. They have a matte finish to reduce glare & are finished off with a scratch resistant coating for added durability. Being water resistant, they can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, making food styling a breeze. We don’t recommend using anything other than water to clean them with. They can withstand most products sitting on them & don't particularly scratch easily but please be careful as they may do if objects happen to drag on them. Please be careful with spillages as some food colouring may stain, don’t place hot plates or pans on them & we don’t recommend leaving food on them for an extended period of time. Minimize direct food contact wherever possible. Be sensible, treat them with care & they’ll repay you with a lifetime of beautiful photography!

We stopped selling flexible surfaces in our store in the summer of 2022.

As customers always preferred our boards anyway it was a no brainer for us to make a move in this direction.

Many flexible backdrops on the market today are plastic based, such as PVC, vinyl & banner materials. They are not particularly recyclable & most of them end up in landfill, continuing to release dangerous toxins for decades to come. Incinerating them only produces more harmful chemicals into the atmosphere. We wanted to take better steps for a better future.

So, we’ve gone green!
You can shop with confidence knowing that our boards are made from fully recyclable materials!

We accept all major debit/credit cards. We also accept PayPal & Apple Pay. Please enter your payment details at the secure checkout. The Phormery is part of the ShotByLucy® network & payments will appear on your card statement as 'SHOTBYLUCY'.

In a word, no.  You can use your new boards wherever you want, whenever you want. However, reproduction of the image content is strictly prohibited, as is reproduction & resale of our products.  The Phormery retain copyright of all imagery but please feel free to use them as backdrops for your social media snaps & in your online stores.  It’s not compulsory, but we’d appreciate, that where our surfaces have been used/featured in the press, on a website or social media, that you include the hashtags #gotphorm #thephormery or @thephormery. For printed material please include ‘The Phormery’ or ‘THEPHORMERY.COM’ (where possible).

If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your surfaces, please email info@thephormery.com within 48 hours of the delivery, so that we can help resolve the issue. We want you to have a happy shopping experience & we will do our best to find a quick resolution for you. We do ask that the buyer covers the return postage where surfaces are not faulty/damaged. Returns/exchanges requested outside of the 48 hours will not be processed. Once your return has been approved, please ensure that the return is delivered to us within 7 working days of return approval or your return will not be processed. By continuing with your purchase, you agree to these terms. Please contact us with your order number & we’ll let you know where to return them. ‘Colour Match’, ‘Create Your Own Surface’ & custom size backdrop options are non refundable, but a credit note may be given at our discretion.

ARRANGE A RETURN

We do our absolute best to pack your boards carefully to ensure they arrive safely. However, sometimes items can get damaged in transit & that's beyond our control. If your new boards arrive damaged, please let us know within 48 hours of delivery so that we can resolve the issue quickly. We will need your order number, date of purchase & details of damage (photos of damage too if possible) sending through to info@thephormery.com so that we can investigate further.

REPORT A PROBLEM

We try to ensure that all imagery on the website is as accurate as possible, however please keep in mind that due to monitor calibration & variations in printing processes, there may be some variation between the image on screen & the printed product. This also applies to colour surfaces. We may use customer images on our website or share them on our social media platforms but we’ll always tag/include a photo credit. Please select the option at checkout if you prefer us not to use your images, if left unchecked, you agree to these terms. Discounts are not valid on gift cards. Please also note that our social media images may have filters applied.
